If you use one word to summarize the theme of this product release, nothing is more appropriate than "fusion." We often hear the term fusion in recent years because a single technology can no longer meet the needs of social production, and only the integration of multiple technologies can do. Take cloud computing as an example. Hybrid cloud is a typical integration. Nowadays, the understanding that hybrid cloud is the future has become more and more consistent.
Focusing on the theme of "convergence", Alibaba Cloud has launched more than 10 blockbuster products in three major sectors: data management and usage integration, cloud native and traditional IT integration, and online and offline integration. Next, we interpret them one by one.
Integrate data use and management
Data is the oil of the new era, and its importance is self-evident, but the governance of data is still at a low level. Data chimney, data access, data governance... each link has a lot of challenges. This time, Alibaba Cloud released a number of products for data storage and data governance upgrades.
Let me start with the one that I think is the best, Alibaba Cloud's next-generation big data architecture—hub warehouse integration.
Everyone should have heard of the data lake and data warehouse. The lake is a concept that has only existed in the past few years. The warehouse has a long history. It is easy to understand. The lake can be installed in anything, structured, unstructured, text, video, and audio. ... Warehouses are different. Warehouses are neatly stacked, easy to take and store. Each has its own advantages. The data needs to be quickly accessed. Warehouses are obviously more advantageous. Store casually and in large quantities, lakes are more suitable.
Obviously, neither the lake nor the warehouse is the best data governance architecture. The combination of the two is the fundamental starting point for the integration of the lake and warehouse. A popular understanding of the integration of the lake and warehouse means moving the warehouse into the lake, through the four dimensions of opening up the underlying network architecture, accelerating mutual visits at the intermediate storage layer, unified metadata management, and comprehensive management of the upper layer, breaking the boundaries between the lake and the warehouse.
Second, PolarDB-X, the native distributed database of Aliyun cloud, released two new enterprise-level functions: hybrid load HTAP and transparent distributed global secondary index. Supporting multiple loads at the same time is the same as supporting multiple parallel applications at the same time after a physical machine is virtualized, which can significantly improve the processing efficiency of the business; adding a secondary index can effectively avoid a surge in load and channel blockage caused by a large number of queries, thereby improving effectiveness. Of course, the index is not as many as possible, and more may reduce the overall performance.
Third, upgrade the Alibaba Cloud native data warehouse AnalyticDB (ADB for short) and release the self-developed Laser engine. The performance improvement brought by the new engine is very obvious. For example, compared with the Greeplum native engine, the performance improvement is more than twice; ADB refreshes the TPC-H 30TB performance list world record, which is a performance improvement of 290% compared to the second Microsoft SQL Server 2019. Become the first domestic manufacturer to reach the top of the list; in addition, in the authoritative basic test of TPC-DS 10TB for complex analysis scenarios, ADB broke the world record in performance indicators.
In addition to the database, in terms of data center, Alibaba Cloud released upgrade solutions for multiple industries.
Retail industry: Alibaba Cloud released a new product centered on goods—Alibaba Cloud Data Middle Office Quick Stock Intelligent Goods Operation Platform; Upgraded Alibaba Cloud Data Middle Office Quick Audience 2.0 Global Consumer Operation Platform.
Among them, Quick Stock focuses on goods and provides insight into the market. Quick Audience 2.0 focuses on people and provides insight into operations. If the data center is an aircraft carrier, then Dataphin is the power system of the aircraft carrier, and the Quick series is the carrier-based aircraft of the aircraft carrier, which has different powers according to different scenarios.
Smart City: Upgrade Alibaba Cloud's urban data center, integrate multiple spatial data, and create and accumulate four core technology systems: holographic digital restoration, multi-resolution real-time deduction, global resource scheduling optimization, and global multi-end collaborative governance to help cities form A closed loop from perception intelligence, cognitive intelligence to decision intelligence and organizational intelligence.
Financial industry: Alibaba Cloud's financial decision-making engine was released. Through a comprehensive understanding of customer behavior and a comprehensive presentation of the two dimensions of customer relationship graphs, it can balance decision-making from multiple target dimensions such as risk, cost, and customer experience, and maximize business benefits.
Going to the cloud is not difficult
Cloud computing has entered the 2.0 era, and cloud native is no longer exclusive to a few companies. When cloud native is moving from a small market to a big market, there are more and more problems. As the “big brother” of domestic cloud computing, Alibaba Cloud bears heavy responsibilities.
Because of this, Alibaba officially announced the establishment of a cloud native technology committee at the Yunqi Conference, which will elevate cloud native to a technology strategy. In the future, Alibaba Cloud will vigorously promote the full cloud nativeization of Alibaba's economy, and accumulate Alibaba’s more than 10 years of cloud native practices, and empower millions of companies to carry out cloud native transformations, improve R&D efficiency by 30% and reduce IT by 30%. Costs help customers enter the digital native era.
At the same time, Alibaba Cloud released two new cloud native products.
1. Alibaba Cloud Sandbox Container 2.0. Everyone knows that containers, lightweight virtualization technology, coupled with sandbox protection, are more secure. In addition, Sandbox Container 2.0 has an advantage that other vendors cannot match. Alibaba Cloud Sandbox Container is based on Alibaba Cloud's unique Dragon architecture. The Dragon architecture has been specially optimized for containers, making it outstanding in many aspects. For example, each sandbox container only occupies less than 1MB of memory, and a single server can support up to 2000 containers; the startup time of a single sandbox container can be on the order of 10 milliseconds, and the business recovery time can be 3 milliseconds.
2. Alibaba Cloud Cloud Box. Similar to a VPC network, an independent space that meets compliance requirements and can be connected to local applications or cloud applications. It is worth mentioning that the cloud box is fully managed and free of operation and maintenance. Similarly, Alibaba Cloud Cloud Box is also based on the Shenlong architecture and leverages its computing power.
Online, the same as offline
Online business is not a new concept. Ali has nails, Teambition, and suitable to take... If there is no black swan of the epidemic, the growth curve of the online office market will be flat, but it is different now.
Take Dingding as an example. During the epidemic, 140,000 schools, 3 million classes, and 130 million students were taught online across the country. 6 million teachers have taught more than 60 million hours on Dingding, and they have reviewed 2.5 billion homework. The key to exponential growth in business volume is not to collapse.
There may be friends who are not clear about Teambition and Yidah, so let’s briefly introduce them.
Teambition is a team collaboration tool of Alibaba Cloud. In Teambition, you can clearly see who is doing what and where it is, and you can easily check the context and various materials of everything, and you can really move the work online.
Yida is a self-developed low-code cloud platform for government and enterprise digital transformation. As the name suggests, you can build applications without knowing the code. Within Alibaba, there are more than 3,000 monthly apps built with Yidah, which has saved Alibaba nearly 100,000 people/day of R&D resources.
In addition to these, the integration of online and offline Alibaba Cloud brings three new products.
1. The ability of professional developers should be built.
2. Alibaba Cloud Live Video 3.0. There is now a very prominent contradiction in the video field, that is, consumers are demanding higher and higher video quality, with better image quality and low latency. But for service providers, this is a nightmare because of high image quality and low latency. Means high cost.
How to deal with it? Live video 3.0 bridges the gap between consumers and service providers through its own CDN resource advantages and technical advantages in image processing and coding. Currently, Alibaba Cloud's live video products have opened live broadcast center services in 9 countries and regions around the world. There are more than 2,800 CDN nodes around the world, covering more than 70 cities on six continents, and 130TB bandwidth reserves.
3. Alibaba Cloud remote office zero trust solution. Zero trust, no one trusts, identification is crucial. Alibaba Cloud's remote office zero-trust solution can create dynamic authority management and dynamic security detection and protection capabilities through trusted terminals, trusted identities, and trusted applications to achieve full-link security protection.
Good news, benefiting thousands of enterprises

Up to now, Alibaba Cloud has been able to provide more than 200 products, more than 600 solutions, and has conducted in-depth cooperation with more than 300 partners at the product solution level. More than 2,000 ecological partners have provided more than 20,000 products in The cloud market is on the shelves, serving nearly a million companies.
Globally, Alibaba Cloud operates 63 availability zones in 21 regions. This year, Alibaba Cloud's data centers in Ulan Qab and Guangzhou have also opened service. They adopt new immersed liquid cooling technology, which will further improve energy efficiency.
