This year, the TF Chinese community received help from the original factory, ecological partners, end users, and developers, and it has become one of the most important choices in the open source SDN field in China.
This year, the new crown epidemic raged, but the footsteps of the TF Chinese community did not stop. Over a thousand people participated in our live broadcast and grew up with the community.
This year, the ecological construction of the TF Chinese community has made considerable progress. Whether it is on the stage of operator cloud, in the architecture of independent cloud service companies, or in open source cloud and open network activities, TF is an important topic among them.
Sowing the seeds of TF Chinese spread
In the early days, the community was like a small "flower garden". The foreign seeds of Tungsten Fabric were planted in the soil of China, and a few "little flowers" of knowledge were bloomed.
On October 8, 2019, the TF Chinese community WeChat public account was launched, sowing the first seeds of the TF Chinese world and starting the journey of Tungsten Fabric's domestic market spreading sermons.
In November, the TF Chinese website built simultaneously with the official account was officially launched, and Tungsten Fabric took root in China.
With the joint efforts of everyone, the TF Chinese community has successively produced "TF Architecture Analysis", "TF+K8s Integration Guide", "TF+K8s Easy to Use", "TF Getting Started", "Practical Q&A", "Secret LOL", "Explain the TF service chain" and other technical topics.
These technical articles and community activity reports were also reprinted by major domestic IT media, spreading the voice of Tungsten Fabric to the farther network world.
Over the past year, more and more partners who are interested in Tungsten Fabric, multi-cloud interconnection, SDN, and SD-WAN have joined the community to solve the problems encountered in the process of cloud network construction and spread TF Chinese communication together. Seed.
Aggregate China's new open source forces
Slowly, more and more people came to watch, talk, and water. They were both flower viewers and gardeners.
With the organization and preparation of a group of volunteers, on November 7, 2019, the TF Chinese Community made its debut in Qingdao, and the TF Chinese Community was officially launched.
At the kick-off meeting, 43 units became the founding members of the TF Chinese community, spanning different fields of industry, learning, research, and application, covering enterprise users, universities and research institutes, ecological partners and other cloud network-related industry chains. Two days later, the TF Chinese Community Technical Committee launched a member recruitment activity for the domestic market, attracting many colleagues who are interested in the development of China's multi-cloud network interconnection and open source cloud network industry.
With the establishment of working groups such as documentation, communities, industry cases, and infrastructure, the technical committee has also been established. This means that voices from China will jointly participate in the process of determining the development direction of the technology stack and the community, and promote the development of TF China. development of.
Extend the border to prosper the ecology
Someone began to yell for help, and more people and the flower of knowledge met here, and the voice became stronger and stronger, gradually becoming a "garden".
The 2019 OpenStack Open Source Infrastructure Summit is the first time the summit has been held in China. The hot atmosphere at the scene made the world feel the enthusiasm of the Chinese open source community. Tungsten Fabric made a high-profile appearance at this summit, including user units such as CERN (European Atomic Energy Research Agency), Shenzhen Securities Communications Co., Ltd., Huayun Data, and commercial companies such as Juniper Networks and Mirantis all appeared at the event in Shanghai.
As a mature open source SDN project, Tungsten Fabric has also received active attention and participation from Unicom Woyun, and joined the TF Chinese community as an initial member. In December 2019, China Unicom Wo Cloud Summit (WCS) 2019 was held at the Beijing International Convention Center. Tungsten Fabric appeared to explain open source SDN. In addition, at the "China Cloud Computing Ecological Development Summit" in January 2020, the discussion on "SDN open source architecture" continued to ferment and attracted widespread attention from technical people.
This year, at the 4th FNDC Future Network Development Conference, in OpenInfra Days China, TF technical experts will share.
Each event expanded the boundaries of Tungsten Fabric's growth and spread. More domestic users came into contact with TF and heard the voice from open source SDN.
We want to "meet" with you
On January 7, 2020, the "TF Meetup" offline event was launched. Since we sent out the "Open Source SDN Dating" event invitation, we have received many people's inquiries, everyone is concerned about the issue of multi-cloud interconnection, and hope to know Tungsten Fabric.
Tungsten Fabric's technology research and development and first-line users discussed in depth the multi-cloud data architecture and deployment status, CMP integration, security and policy implementation, integration with K8s and other platforms, SDN open source technology and application cases. The discussion was extended for nearly two hours, and the event site became a gathering of open source SDN enthusiasts. The widespread application of Tungsten Fabric in China is becoming more and more real.
The new crown hit, and most of the time in 2020, our distance has been blocked by the epidemic.
However, the rigid demand for TF communication cannot be suppressed, and the growth of the community is still tenacious. Since March, the TF Chinese community has launched an online live event [TF Live]. The first event lasted more than two hours, with nearly 1,000 people online. Up to now, 4 live events have been held. It is "online" and also "onsite". When industry professionals turn into netizens, the lively discussion atmosphere turns the live broadcast room into a venue.
Meeting this group of friends who are keen on open source SDN, we saw a greater development space for Tungsten Fabric and a greater possibility of solving the problem of multi-cloud interconnection.
What do you talk about in the TF community
People who participate in the construction of the "garden" will always come over to take a look when they are free, and the experiences that everyone exchanges and the "fruits" in the garden can also be brought back to their work.
In the TF Chinese community, open source SDN enthusiasts have found their home base. Whether it is a problem in technical combat or carefully compiled information, they hope to actively discuss and share with partners.
The tossing "combatists" often discuss various issues about SDN and Tungsten Fabric in the WeChat group. In every interactive session of TF Live's live broadcast, there are also many netizens who throw out various problems encountered in the deployment and application of multi-cloud networks, so that guests can only choose to answer. The unanswered questions were transferred to the WeChat group to continue the discussion after the live broadcast ended. 
There is no shortage of wonderful content in the Q&A dialogues. We have sorted out the essence of them and formed the "TF Q&A" column. The fourth issue has been achieved. The confusion and pits they encountered are also very important to other friends. Great help.
Crop growth has its own rules, and the advantage of open source organizations is that they have their own irrigation system. The "garden" grows bit by bit, with everyone participating here.
How did we "grow" this year? The answer to this question comes from everyone who works hard and pays attention to the "garden". People here also believe that as long as they continue to take root in the domestic open source SDN and continue to have new nutrients, the community ecology will continue to spread, from a seed to a towering tree.
