According to reports, some European consumers who have ordered Tesla Model Y said that the company may be expected to deliver new cars in Europe sooner than expected.
A whistleblower said that on the morning of October 27, he had a conversation with Tesla employees and received a text message from Tesla last week. The company said that the consumer's scheduled Model Y will be in 2020. Delivery in December. Subsequently, Tesla issued a correction message, saying that this message is for Model 3 bookers.
The whistleblower ordered Model Y in the Netherlands in April 2019. In addition to Europe, Tesla will also sell Model Y on a large scale in Asia. Its super factory in Shanghai, China is expected to start producing this electric crossover at the end of 2020 or early 2021.
However, a source from the Netherlands said that Tesla employees called him and said that the delivery time of Model Y should be in the first or second quarter of 2021, and that the vehicles will be produced in the German super factory. .
In a recent update letter for the third quarter of 2020, Tesla stated that they still expect to start production in 2021, but did not specify a specific timeline. Tesla wrote in the letter: "The construction of the Berlin factory is progressing rapidly, the building is under construction, and the installation of equipment will begin in the next few weeks.
