The white paper pointed out that big data is the most important "digital gold mine" in the new era, and it is the core driving force for the development of the global digital economy. my country has massive data resources and rich application scenarios, and has inherent advantages in the development of big data. With the gradual improvement of national policies and the continuous enhancement of support, my country's big data technology and industry have achieved rapid development. Domestic backbone enterprises have the ability to independently develop, construct, operate and maintain large-scale big data platforms. A number of new products, new services, and new models have emerged one after another, and the big data ecosystem has gradually improved.
However, with the further deepening of the application of big data in my country, the pain points of industrial development have been exposed one after another: the slow process of open data sharing, low data quality, lack of data management and governance, and insufficient vertical industry application depth. Facing the bottleneck problem of the current big data development, it is not only necessary to seek breakthroughs from the perspective of technology and industry mechanism, but also to continuously strengthen support from the standardization dimension.
In the early stage, under the guidance of the Information Technology Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Standards and Technology Management Department of the State Administration for Market Supervision and Administration, the Big Data Standards Working Group of the National Beaconing Commission organized experts and scholars from relevant domestic production, academic, research, and user units Based on in-depth research on big data technology, industry and standardization needs at home and abroad, the "Big Data Standardization White Paper (2016 Edition)" and "Big Data Standardization White Paper (2018 Edition)" have been compiled and formed, which have received attention and praise from the industry.
The 2020 version of the white paper updates the latest domestic and foreign big data policies and regulations on the basis of the 2018 version , proposes big data technology development trends and key field application practices, analyzes the hotspots of big data development, and further improves the big data standard system on this basis.
