Premiere Elements tutorial: add music to video clips

In this article, you can add music scores to video clips and enhance the music atmosphere of the video. You can choose from a variety of royalty-free music scores in Adobe Premiere Elements.

The music score here refers to the audio track that can be applied to the video in the timeline. It includes an introduction, a text and an introduction. The music played in the score is dynamically adapted to the length of the video track.

Soundbooth sheet music is like a piece of music, by intelligently rearranging the music structure and changing the mix to match the required intensity, adapting it to user-specified parameters (such as video length).

To add music score to your video clip, follow these steps:

  1. Click Add media. Select an option to import the expected video into the timeline.
  2. If the video already exists on the timeline, skip this step.
  3. Click "Audio" on the action bar.
  4. From the drop-down list, select the score. The category list of the score is displayed. Select a category of sheet music to explore the sounds available in that category.
  5. The score is displayed under the score category selected in the previous step. Before applying the score to the video clip, click the preview button to listen to its score.
  6. Note:
Right-click and select Download now to download the score.
  7. Click to select the score to be applied to the video clip. Drag and drop it onto the timeline of the desired video. Display the "Rating Properties" context pop-up menu.
  8. In the "Score Attributes" pop-up window, select from the following options:
    • Intensity: A musical score is an audio clip that contains the sounds of various instruments played together. You can increase the intensity of these sounds by dragging the slider to Intense. To decrease the intensity of the instrument, drag the slider to the left to Mellow.
    • Fit to the entire video: Click Fit to the entire video to add the score to the entire video clip. The score sound is played throughout the video clip.
  9. Click finish
  10. After applying the score to the video clip, click play or press the space bar to listen to the score.

Reposition the score

Music score is a dynamic component, which can be dynamically repositioned and adjusted. When repositioning the score, you can do the following:

Trim score

You can adjust the duration of the score. Select the beginning/end of the score and trim it with the trim handle. You can drag in to reduce the length/duration of the score.

Stretch score

To increase the duration of the score, click and drag (stretch) it at the end of the score.

Stretch the score until you want to apply the score to the video clip.

Reposition score

Click to select the score and drag and drop it anywhere on the video clip to change its position.

Adobe Premiere Elements provides deterministic online content downloads. This means you can determine the size of online content before downloading everything. If you download one content at a time, you can check the download progress.

  4. Right-click on any score and select Download all. The "Online Download" dialog box is displayed. Click Yes.
