What is the use of the span relay function? A picture teaches you to understand the span relay!

Cross-segment relay, literally understood as cross-band relay function. When the wireless hand station cannot access the local relay, if the mobile handheld terminal has this function, it is undoubtedly the icing on the cake.

  Working principle of repeater

The working principle of the repeater is that a radio station is responsible for receiving the signals of each station on one frequency, and at the same time, a high-power transmitter uses another frequency to transmit it, that is, the difference conversion method of receiving and transmitting frequencies. In order to avoid the interference of undesirable signals, the relay is generally set with sub-audio. Only when the repeater receives the same sub-audio signal as it is set to forward normally, otherwise the mobile station cannot send signals to the repeater normally.

  Principle of span relay function

The cross-segment relay function generally appears in the mobile stations used by amateurs, and mostly appears in the dual-segment mobile stations. Commercial radio stations are generally single band, either UHF or VHF band, so there is no such function. The function of the span relay function is also to extend the distance of the call. The span repeater is only applicable to two simplex frequencies (one UHF and one VHF) or one UHF simplex and VHF repeater frequency.

For example, you use a UHF mobile station to communicate with a UV dual-band mobile station, and then a radio with span relay function receives the signal, and at the same time transmits the signal on the VHF frequency.

When the VHF or transponder is transmitting, the radio with spanning function will receive and resend the signal on the UHF frequency.

Another important point is that the receiving end of VHF and UHF that is relayed across segments should be set with sub-audio to minimize the chance of false triggering by other signals.

How to use Beifeng span relay station

The Beifeng span relay station supports the access of analog or digital signals, as well as the access of same frequency or different frequency signals. Take Beifeng TR925DL as an example, let's first understand what a span repeater is through a simple networking diagram. In order to make it easier for everyone to understand the legend, we set F to be in U band and f to be in V band. As shown in the figure, the cross-segment relay station covers a certain fixed working area, and the terminal working on the UHF frequency initiates a call, and the signal is relayed and cross-segment forwarded through the cross-segment relay station, making it work in VHF The terminal of the frequency band completed the response. So as to realize the interconnection and intercommunication of terminals between different frequency bands.
