To use "relay", your device must meet the "continuous interoperability" system requirements. They must also turn on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Relay in System Preferences (on Mac) and Settings (on iOS and iPadOS devices). You must log in with the same Apple ID on all devices.
[Tip] After "Relay" is turned on, you can use the "Universal Clipboard" to copy and paste text, images, photos, and videos across devices. You can also copy files between Mac computers.

Turn relay on or off
[Note] If you do not see the "Relay" option on the device, the device cannot be used with the "Relay" function.

On your Mac: Choose Apple menu> System Preferences, click General, and then select "Allow relay between this Mac and iCloud device" (under "Recently used items"). To turn it off, deselect this option.

On iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch: Go to "Settings"> "General"> "Relay", then tap to turn on "Relay". To turn it off, tap the option.

On Apple Watch: In the "Watch" app on iPhone, go to "My Watch"> "General", then tap to turn on "Enable Relay". To turn it off, tap the option.

Use relay function between devices
From Mac to iOS or iPadOS device: The “relay” icon of the app used on the Mac appears on the iPhone (the bottom of the App switcher), iPad, or iPod touch (the end of the dock). Tap to continue working in the app.
