Internet Explorer often stops responding after opening, and resetting the browser settings is useless. There are many reasons for the problem. It may be that there are too many extension plug-ins, or other uncontrollable factors.
Solution: We need to completely disable and re-enable IE
Method 1: Turn off Internet Explorer 11 in Control Panel
Use the "Programs and Features" item in the "Control Panel" to disable Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps:
Win+ RType appwiz.cpl
Enter.
Under "Programs and Features", select the "Open or Close Window" function.
In the "Windows Features" dialog box, find the entry for the installed version of Internet Explorer.
Find Internet Explorer 11, clear the check box, and restart the computer after it is deleted.
Open the operation as above and do it again
Method 2: Use the DISM command
On client and server systems, Internet Explorer can be disabled using the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) command line tool.
Run the following command from an elevated command prompt:
Disable Internet Explorer 11
dism /online /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:Internet-Explorer-Optional-amd64
Enable Internet Explorer 11
To re-enable Internet Explorer 11, run the following commands at the CMD command prompt in administrator mode:
dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:Internet-Explorer-Optional-amd64
Note: The computer must be restarted to apply this change.
I can’t find the icon of IE without restarting, but I can also find the program to run from C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer
