6. Customize the virtual machine name

7. Choose the installation location of the virtual machine, do not put it on the C drive

8. How much disk capacity is allocated to the virtual machine, if you learn by yourself, generally choose 50G, you can also choose a larger one, but even if you choose a large space, it will not occupy your disk space at once, but will increase as the use increases Big.

Store the virtual disk as a single file, multiple files, the difference between the two is essentially the same, a single file is easy to manage, but if the data becomes larger as you use it, it is not easy to migrate, multiple files : You will see multiple files in the folder where the virtual machine is installed, so that when migrating, it is easy to migrate.

9. The picture below is what you click to finish. The configuration interface you see, the selected memory is 4g, and the disk is 200G.

You can edit the virtual machine settings, according to the configuration of your notebook, set the configuration you need, I configured here 2 core CPU, 4G memory, 200G hard

10. Select the image file and set it to connect at startup. At this point, the device hardware settings have been set, click to start the virtual machine.

Problem handling: When we are using a virtual machine, a xxx.lck directory will appear under the installation directory. This file will automatically disappear after the virtual machine is turned off. When we are using the virtual machine, the power is suddenly turned off This file will not disappear with the shutdown. When we start the virtual machine next time, because of the existence of this file, it will not start. The solution is: delete this folder and you can start normally.
