After the Mapinfo2Google plugin generates KML, the layer attributes appear garbled

1. Problem phenomenon

The Mapinfo2Google plug-in is a useful mapinfo plug-in, which can achieve a good conversion from the tab format layer to Google's kml layer, but sometimes if the converted object contains Chinese names, the garbled problem in the figure below will appear. This is because the converted kml encoding format is not UTF-8 encoding, and Chinese cannot be displayed well, as shown in the following figure.

Second, the solution

Here, we use an Aowei interactive map commonly used by Netyou to convert the encoding format. Import the garbled kml file into Aowei map. The software prompts whether to convert the UTF8 format. Click here to convert. Then you will find that the name of the incoming data module has been displayed correctly, and then you can successfully export the layer to kml or other required formats with the help of the export function of Aowei software.
