A rumor: CMMI explicitly given the requirements of good product development process
which is totally imaginary ah! CMMI model, year and SEI CMMI Institute today do not have to ask anyone to do anything. CMMI process improvement model is a guide, a clear process model of practice is not a step, it gives the organization by doing what recommendations to improve process capability, as to how to do that is entirely their own closed, if the shoe fits only know of foot.
Rumors II: ability to develop high-level CMMI organization is stronger than the low-level
Although some of the data collected show that year SEI ability to process high-level organization is better than the low-level, such as peer review efficiency. But in fact, these data have significant limitations, we can not verify this rumor. Many other factors will affect the ability to develop an IT organization. When an organization's main purpose is to improve the time to get a certificate, even if it passed the five assessment, process capability and perhaps still very dregs.
Rumors three: five by CMMI project organization must be managed by the five required
CMMI five organizations must have some type of project is managed by the five, but the model and the Academy does not require that all projects must be five to manage. Rumors IV: CMMI assessment of the organization has not done, in general, the development process must be very confusing
I always believe that any business can survive and develop, it must have some reasonable internal organization, good engineering and management practices. When introducing CMMI, often overlooked is good practice within. As far as I know, the Chinese have not done the BAT CMMI assessment, but who can say their development process upset it?
Rumors Five: do CMMI can solve all the problems in product development of

Rumors Six: each process area needs to have a corresponding organizational procedures, each needs to have a corresponding measure

Rumors seven: CMMI improvements that EPG thing, nothing to do with me
this is the most damaging rumors. Imagine, people never done a test to improve your testing process, do you think it fly?
Rumors eight: CMMI is very difficult to understand, there must be outside expert guidance
this rumor thing? Oh, I actually really do not want to break ••• When a holding CMMI expert guide you every day, but do not spend energy to go deep into the project in question, do you need to consider substitutions?
Rumors nine: CMMI appraiser and lecturer very powerful, will be able to solve our problems

Rumors ten: CMMI CMMI assessment by the Institute will organize certificates
do not think appraiser certificate signed by the director of the Institute is issued, it was just personal behavior. Institute certificate was not issued yet, but will not be certified five companies have five capabilities.
Rumors eleven: CMMI evaluation team members must have an internal or external members to participate in
the purpose of this assessment and the related evaluation methods there are some gray areas, did not give a very clear requirement to assess the leader in its submission to the Institute materials, the need to give the group members consider the choice of assessment.
Rumors 12: assessment of less weakness three organizations to assess weaknesses better than many three organizations

An assessment we sort out several dozens of weaknesses, but I can responsibly say that this is an excellent CMMI business!
Rumors thirteen: assessment must be completed, and different levels of on-site assessment days are clearly required
