Environment: physical machine installed directly on a VMware ESXi, the virtual machine and then install Win7 on ESXi. Now I want to install VMware workstation on a virtual machine Win7
There are a lot of people say online, do not support this nested, actually supports.
Internet gives Workaround: Edit the virtual machine's configuration file (extension vmx), add the following line:
monitor_control.restrict_backdoor="true"

Since I installed directly on a physical machine's ESXi, did not find the said extension configuration file called the vmx. Approach is directly use VMware vSphere Client, manage ESXi. Restart the virtual machine, log on to the win7, win7 again on the VMware workstation can be installed.
