PowerToys v0.60.0 released

Microsoft PowerToys is a Windows system utility for advanced users to tweak and simplify their Windows experience to maximize productivity.

Focused on stability and improvements, the v0.60.0 release brings a number of changes:

Highlights

  • PowerRename and Image Resizer appear in the new Windows 11 context menu.
  • OneNote has a new PowerToys Run plugin.
  • FancyZones uses new zone IDs with monitor IDs to improve stability and avoid zone resets.
  • AlwaysOnTop now highlights windows with rounded corners on Windows 11 with rounded corners.
  • Added settings for PowerToys Run to better control the order of query results.

  • Upgrade the Windows App SDK runtime to 1.1.1.
  • Added support for diverse keyboard shortcuts and fallback to low-level keyboard hooks.
  • Added rounded highlights for rounded windows on Windows 11.
  • Fixed a bug where windows displayed on the desktop would not work with FancyZones.
  • When changing the area layout, if this option is on, the window will match the new size/position.
  • Minor UI fixes in FancyZones editor.
  • Fixed correct canvas layout rendering in FancyZones Editor, now showing unscaled monitor resolutions.
  • Fixed an issue where transparency in some windows caused the window to go blank.

  • Add a viewBox attribute to the svg file thumbnail so that the entire image is displayed.
  • Removed access to remote images in Markdown preview tests.
  • Fixed a vulnerability in Markdown preview test suite with proper component initialization timeout.
  • Fixed WebView2 resource leak caused by svg thumbnails.
