The Handbook of Dynamic Game Theory is a comprehensive two-part treatise on dynamic/differential games, a mature but still developing and expanding field, both in terms of theoretical development and scope of applications. The first part (and volume) of the handbook focuses on fundamentals and theory, while the second part (and volume) covers applications in diverse areas such as economics, management science, engineering and biology. Each part is divided into chapters covering a specific topic or subfield, all written by experts in those topics. Each chapter itself provides comprehensive coverage of the corresponding topic, written with a wider audience in mind but without diluting the technical content. We briefly describe below the contents of these two parts (and volumes), and thus the Handbook.
