OpenAI opens ChatGPT Voice to all users for free

OpenAI today announced that ChatGPT Voice is free to all users .

OpenAI launched ChatGPT Voice, a text-to-speech function based on ChatGPT in September this year - using a neural network model to generate human-like speech from text. This feature was previously only available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, but is now available to all free users.

According to reports, ChatGPT Voice can create custom voices with different accents and styles by sampling a few seconds of audio recorded by voice actors. Provide users with a dialogue function. The overall dialogue information is input and output in the form of dialogue. It supports functions such as pausing, interrupting, and changing timbres, and provides a text version for reference after the dialogue ends.

To use the new voice option, ChatGPT users simply open the app settings on Android or iOS and toggle the "Headphones" icon to activate the text-to-speech feature.

Greg Brockman, former president of OpenAI, later commented : "ChatGPT Voice has been launched for all free users. Welcome to try it - it will completely change the ChatGPT experience."
