gitlab ssh: ホストに接続します 接続が拒否されました 致命的です

gitlab の使用中に次の問題が発生しました

ssh: connect to host gitlab.xxx.com port 22: Connection refused
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

運用保守担当者に確認したところ、原因は何者かが間違ったパスワードで同じIPに複数回接続し、gitlabサーバーがそのIPを直接ブロックしたことが原因でした。

誰かがブルートフォースを狙っている可能性もあります。
