1. U disk file system
The common file systems are as follows:
- NTFS: Maximum file size 2TB
- FAT16: Maximum file size 2GB
- FAT32: The maximum file size
is 4GB. Generally, the U disk defaults to FAT32, so we cannot copy and paste files exceeding 4GB. If the U disk is set to NTFS, this problem can be solved.
2. FAT32 to NTFS
Use the convert command to convert FAT32 to NTFS without formatting and without affecting the data on the U disk
- Search for "
cmd
", right-click the administrator to open it. /orwin+R
, inputcmd
, enter convert G:/FS:NTFS
G is the drive name and needs to be changed
After the conversion is complete, the files can be copied to the U disk normally.
3. Summary
- The processed files are mainly large files, using NTFS format;
- The processed files are mainly small files, using FAT32 format;
- The default format of the U disk is FAT32 format;
- The criterion for distinguishing large files from small files is whether the file is larger than 4G.
