The successful development of the Tianmai operating system has broken the foreign blockade of similar products and improved the level of autonomy of our country’s aviation weapons and equipment. It is the foundation for our country’s development Great achievements in softwaredevelopment. In addition, the Tianmai operating system is also compatible with the VxWorks system and can transplant application software on the VxWorks system, which makes the Tianmai operating system more widely used.

After long-term technical research and multiple rounds of technical iterations, the "Tianmai" operating system team has successfully made breakthroughs in key multi-core operating system technologies such as scalable architecture, multi-core support, real-time processes, and 64-bit support, and completed the integration of the "Tianmai" operating system. The in-depth adaptation work of domestic Feiteng processors and imported high-performance multi-core processors has formed a Tianmai multi-core operating system and development environment that supports single application scenarios and multiple application scenarios.

The product is named "Tianmai". At that time, there was an urgent need in the country for operating system products with the characteristics of a new generation of integrated modular avionics systems (IMA) and robust "time" and "space" partition protection that meet the ARINC 653 standard. In addition to realizing basic task scheduling, equipment management and other functions, this kind of product also needs to realize time partition management, space partition management, health monitoring, inter-partition communication and other functions.

After comparing domestic and foreign standards and regulations in the field of software, as well as those inside and outside the military, the development team determined major and difficult issues such as development routes, combat technology indicators, and technical standards through comprehensive demonstrations while meeting military software development specifications. The team introduced the international airworthiness standard for civil aircraft software - DO-178B "Software Considerations in the Certification of Airborne Systems and Equipment". Based on the characteristics of the basic software, the development team put pressure on themselves to position the security level of the "Tianmai" operating system product as the highest level A, and fully and independently practiced the DO-178B verification work within the development team, and formulated corresponding measures accordingly. development principles and guidelines. Facts have proven that the introduction of the airworthiness concept during the research and development phase, the formulation of a plan to meet the 66 goals of DO-178B for Class A software, and the strict implementation in accordance with the national military standards during the demonstration and evaluation phase are all essential to ensuring the products of the "Tianmai" operating system. Quality plays a decisive role in achieving the goals of high safety and high reliability.
