Android launches a new version of the brand identity, the robot 3D effect is stronger

On September 5, Google announced a new version of its brand identity for Android via an official blog post.

The new Android robot icon is said to draw inspiration from Material Design and Google brand color matching. Compared with the old version of the icon, the 3D effect is stronger and it can be matched with more flexible light, shadow and color effects according to the usage scenario.

The text logo of the Android brand also adopts a more rounded font curve, the initial letter is replaced by a capital A from a lowercase a, and Google also designed a full-body image of an Android robot with a consistent visual style for this brand identity update.

These new designs will be available this year.
