Norwegian browser developer Opera's products Opera Mini and Opera Coast on the Apple iOS platform have not been updated since 2017. Users contacted the company to ask what happened, only to be told that Opera no longer has an iOS development team. That is, at least for now, Opera has given up on the iOS platform.
Opera Mini for iOS hasn't been updated in nearly a year, and Opera Coast was last updated in December 2016. Apple prohibits iOS browsers that compete with Safari, and all browsers on iOS are actually covered with Safari.
