[Data sharing] Related indicators of scientific and technological innovation in prefecture-level cities from 1999 to 2021 (free access to \Shp\Excel format)

1999-2021 prefecture-level city's population-related data, various types of land area data, pollutant discharge and environmental governance related data, real estate investment and commercial housing sales area, total retail sales of social consumer goods and the balance of deposits and loans of financial institutions at the end of the year, local general public Budget balance, number of industrial enterprises, fixed asset investment, and foreign economic and trade data (see previous articles for details).

This time we are sharing the technological innovation index data of prefecture-level cities compiled from the "China City Statistical Yearbook" from 2000 to 2022! The data year is from 1999 to 2021, the statistical objects are cities at the prefecture level and above, the formats are Shp and Excel, and the statistical caliber is the whole city. There are 5 indicators in total , including:

  • R&D personnel (2017-2019/city/person)
  • R&D internal expenditure (2017-2019/city/10,000 yuan)
  • Number of patent applications (2017-2020/city/case)
  • Number of patent authorizations (2017-2021/city/piece)
  • Number of invention patent authorizations (2017-2021/city/piece)

The following is a detailed introduction of the data:

01 Data preview

Let's take the city's R&D personnel, the number of patent applications and the number of patent authorizations as an example to preview the data!

1. R&D personnel in prefecture-level and above cities in Shp format (whole city)

Let's take the data of 2019 as an example to preview:

2. Number of patent applications in prefecture-level and above cities in Shp format (citywide)

Let's take the data of 2020 as an example to preview:

3. Number of patents granted in prefecture-level and above cities in Shp format (citywide)

Let's take the data of 2021 as an example to preview:

4. R&D personnel in cities at prefecture level and above in Excel format (whole city)

5. Number of patent applications in prefecture-level and above cities in Excel format (citywide)

6. Number of patent authorizations in prefecture-level and above cities in Excel format (citywide)

02  Data description

① The statistics of the yearbook are the data of the previous year, so the statistics of the 2000-2022 "China City Statistical Yearbook" are the data of 1999-2021;

②The statistical indicators of the "China City Statistical Yearbook" have changed in 23 years, and they are not consistent every year. For example, the number of patent applications under the city-wide caliber is only counted in the 2018-2022 yearbook!

③ "China City Statistical Yearbook" counts the data of cities, and non-urban administrative units and non-prefecture-level administrative units and above are not included in the statistics. There are a total of 74, specifically: Xing'an League, Xilin Gol League, and Alxa League , Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Greater Khingan Mountains, Jiyuan City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Xiantao City, Qianjiang City, Tianmen City, Shennongjia Forest District, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Wuzhishan City, Qionghai City, Wenchang City, Wanning City, Dongfang City, Ding'an County, Tunchang County, Chengmai County, Lingao County, Baisha Li Autonomous County, Changjiang Li Autonomous County, Ledong Li Autonomous County, Lingshui Li Autonomous County, Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Ngari Prefecture, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Autonomous Prefecture, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Boertala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Bayingoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Aksu Prefecture, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Kashi District, Hotan District, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture , Tacheng District, Altay District, Shihezi City, Alar City, Tumushuke City, Wujiaqu City, Beitun City, Tiemenguan City, Shuanghe City, Kekedala City, Kunyu City, Populus euphratica River City, Xinxing City, Taiwan Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region.

④ Due to factors such as the adjustment of administrative divisions, the data of some prefecture-level cities in some years may be missing. For prefecture-level cities with missing data, a null value is used in Excel, and a 0 value is used in Shp, that is, a value of 0 indicates that the data is missing, rather than a data value of 0.

⑤Shp data coordinates are WGS1984 coordinates.

⑥The Shp file uses the administrative divisions of prefecture-level cities in 2021 provided by the official account of "Shudu Chengshi".

At the bottom of the article is our official account business card. We will regularly introduce various types of urban data and data visualization and analysis technologies.
