Ordinary people will take it for granted to buy a few more wireless routers, and then plug in the network cable to strengthen the signal.
Usually people who do not understand the network, or have a little knowledge of the network will enhance the signal as shown in the picture below.
The main errors and problems are as follows:
Telecom operators usually make it easy for most families to quickly set up a network. The optical modem presented as a gift integrates telephone, wired Internet, wireless Internet, and iTV TV functions.
In this way, this optical modem becomes very important. If there are few household equipment and the size of the apartment is small, it is no problem to use it casually, and it also saves the user's expenses.
But if it is a large apartment, or a duplex or a villa, various problems will be exposed in this way of networking.
1. The optical fiber modem presented by Telecom runs in routing mode by default (the performance of the optical modem is the bottleneck of the entire network)
2. The name of the wireless network is confusing. From the first floor to the second floor, the mobile wifi connection is still the signal on the first floor, but the signal becomes very weak. Need to manually switch to the wireless on the 2nd floor.
3. Although the purchased wireless router can also play a role in expanding wireless coverage, it is not the best setting. (connected to the WAN port of the router is equivalent to a secondary dial-up)
4. The home network equipment cannot communicate with each other, each floor has a router dial-up, and the network address is confusing.
If you have already purchased multiple wireless routers and do not want to invest any more, you can follow the optimization plan below:
1. Turn off the DHCP function of all wireless routers and change them to AP mode (usually all major wireless router brands have at least 3 operating modes (routing, bridging, AP mode)
2. Insert the network from the optical modem into the LAN port of the wireless router. The specific connection method is shown in the figure below:
3. Unify the name of the wireless network, such as changing it to: myHOME, and set the wireless passwords of all wireless routers to be the same.

specific methods:
1. Call the operator’s customer service and request to change the dialing mode of the optical modem.
2. Purchase the following equipment:
Wired router (integrated AC controller function) + high-power POE power supply network switch + panel AP + ceiling AP (optional)
