Web authentication adds support for HTTPS redirection

WFilter NGF (WSG hardware gateway) of "Web authentication" module, we added a "redirect HTTPS" function. For unauthenticated HTTPS access, the same can be redirected to the authentication address. FIG specific configuration is as follows:

  • When select "HTTP only", HTTP web access will be automatically redirected to the authentication page, and direct access to HTTPS sites will be disconnected.

  • When you select "HTTP and HTTPS", either HTTP or HTTPS access are redirected to the authentication page.

FIG following steps:

1. The computer terminal access

Due browser will check HTTPS site certificate, so redirected to the authentication page, you will be prompted certificate warning. As shown below:

Select "continue to this website" to display the authentication page.

2. The end of the phone access

HTTPS redirection can also take effect on the same mobile browser, as shown below:

Phone's browser will also prompt a certificate warning, select "Yes" to continue access.

Enter the user name and password to complete the certification. If you want to remove out the certificate warning prompt, you need to install the CA certificate on the client. (The CA certificate can be downloaded in the "SSL Monitoring" certificate configuration)
