2, extract trayconizerw.zip
unzip to any directory, only one exe file compression bag
I unzipped location is D: \ trayconizerw \ Trayconizer.exe
3. Create a shortcut to VMware (if VMware already have a shortcut on the desktop, you can skip this step)
found vmware program (my installation location is D: \ Program Files \ VMware \ VMware Workstation \ vmware.exe), right click -> send to -> Desktop shortcut
4, VMware modify the shortcut
, right on the desktop shortcut -> Properties -> Shortcuts -> modify the following format "target" location content -> Applications -> OK
"Trayconizer.exe the full path to" "vmware.exe of full path "
Note:
there must be a space character between two complete paths
for example:" D: \ trayconizerw \ Trayconizer.exe "" D: \ Program Files \ VMware \ VMware Workstation \ vmware.exe "
On windows10 system, the path does not require double quotation marks, the above-described example, only:
D: \ trayconizerw \ Trayconizer.exe D: \ Program Files \ the VMware \ the VMware Workstation \ vmware.exe
5, run
the shortcut, double-click the modified, open the vmware window, then minimize ... ha ... see the effects of it ... it will not stay in the task bar you, but automatically minimize to the system tray to go .
Not just VMware Workstation, other applications can use this approach to minimize them to the system tray to go
