centos6 and centos7 network configuration tool

CentOS 6 under before editing card, direct use setup tool on it. But in the new version of CentOS 7 years, setuptool has no network components editing, and replaced by NetworkManager Text User Interface, namely nmtui. nmtui default with the standard installation system, if you use the minimal installation, it may not have the software, use the following command to manually install:

  1. yum install NetworkManager-tui

Nmtui run from the command line:

  1. nmtui

If prompted NetworkManager is not running, you need to manually start the NetworkManager:

  1. systemctl start NetworkManager

Run again nmtui, you can see the network editing interface, where you can edit the connection, activate a new network connection and set the host name, you can choose according to actual needs:
