The new Edge-ons store open for developers to support the migration of existing plug-ins

Microsoft announced the new version of the browser plug-Edge store (Addons store) has been open for all developers to submit, through the Developer Dashboard to submit plug-ins.

Plug-ins can be submitted divided into three categories:

One is based on a conventional expansion construction Chromium can be directly implanted into the new Microsoft Edge, without any code changes.

In addition, the legacy Microsoft Edge browser plug-ins can also be migrated, this type of expansion based on EdgeHTML. However, after local time December 17, 2019, will no longer accept new EdgeHTML plug submit, update existing EdgeHTML only accept plug-ins. Developers can offer licenses for Microsoft, the legacy Edge browser plug-in automatically migrated to the new Edge.

2020 January 15, the new version of Microsoft Edge will become fully release. By then, the user extensions can migrate from an older version to the new version of the browser, but only if the new Edge-ons store already has the appropriate plug. Microsoft recommends that developers update as soon as the existing plug-ins, and publish to the new store.
