Setting linux time synchronization

After you have installed after the Linux operating system, enter: " DATE " to view the current time:

Found the wrong time.

After installing ntp ( network time protocol after) system more than two services: ntpd and ntpdate. For ntpd, the command chkconfig print its status is off, that is, the service will not boot.

(If you do not install ntp, at the command prompt  yum install ntp     to install the ntp service)

Set ntpd to boot:

 

" Chkconfi G ntpd ON ", again viewed through chkconfig:

Enter: "ntpd Service Status" to see ntpd service status, if the display stopped representation does not start, then enter: "service ntpd start" to start the service, a few minutes of time on the network automatically sync to the current time. You can view synchronized by time after the date command.

In this connection it is configured ntpd start-up and automatic synchronization of network time.
