PURPOSE
At The new new RECOVER TABLE of the Overview the Feature in the Oracle Database 12c. The Oracle Database 12c New Features Overview of RECOVER TABLE
SCOPE
DBAs supporting large databases with backups made via RMAN. Knowledge of RMAN and its architecture is required.
DETAILS
For the purposes of this document, the following fictitious environment is used as an example to describe the procedure: For purposes of this document, the virtual environment is described as an example of this process

TABLE A Command the RECOVER IS of The new new 12C in that android.permission Feature Point in Time Recovery of Table A or Table A Partition. The RECOVER command TABLE 12C is a new feature in that it allows the table or table partition point in time recovery
The table is recovered into an auxiliary instance and there is the option to: this table will be restored to the auxiliary instance, and can be selected
- import the recovered table into a new table or partition using REMAP option to use the recovered option REMAP table into the new table or partition
- create the expdp dump of the recovered table only, for import at a later time of your choosing only create the recovered table expdp dump, when introduced into the later selected for
Pre-requisites: prerequisite
- The target database must be in read- write mode. Target database must be in read-write mode
- The target database must be in ARCHIVELOG mode . Target database must be in ARCHIVELOG mode
- You must have RMAN backups of the tables or table partitions as they existed at the point in time to which you. Want recover these objects you must have a presence on the point in time to restore these objects table or table partition RMAN backup
- To recover single table partitions, the COMPATIBLE initialization parameter for target database must be set to 11.1.0 or higher. To restore a single table partition, COMPATIBLE initialization parameter must be set to the target database 11.1.0 or higher
- Please ensure the auxiliary destination has enough space for restore of system, sysaux, undo and the required tablespace for the table recovery. Make sure there is enough space for auxiliary objective to restore the required system, sysaux, undo and recovery Table space
Please note these files in auxiliary destination would removed automatically once the table is recovery Please note that once the recovery table, the auxiliary objective of these files are automatically deleted
Setting the Point-in-time to Which Tables and Table Partitions Must be Recovered setting must restore the partition table and the table of time points
Options are: The options are
- SCN
- Time
- Sequence number
At The ROOT Container SYSTEM and UNDO the Tablespaces are restored to at The Auxiliary THEREFORE RECOVER TABLE has to BE RUN the After A Direct Connection to ROOT CDB the If A service_name IS not Used, RMAN by Will Fail During Export:.
ROOT container SYSTEM and UNDO table space has been restored to auxiliary table, and therefore must be run after RECOVER tABLE connected directly to the ROOT CDB. If during service_name is not used, then the export will fail RMAN

Point in Time TABLE RECOVERY Example time point exemplary table restore
the Table in Schema Smeds RECTEST to new new BE Recovered INTO Table SMEDS.TEST_RECTEST. Schema Smeds R ECTEST tables to be restored to a new table in SMEDS.TEST_RECTEST.
The auxiliary instance datafiles will be restored to '/ testcases / rectbl /'. Auxiliary instance data files are restored to '/ testcases / rectbl /'.
