step1.
Use IDEA open the project you want to delete, right click and select Remove Module on the project file, or press the Delete key
step2.
After deleting prompt will pop up, "Remove Module 'xxx' from the project? No files will be deleted."
Means the removal of specified module, but no files are deleted, that is, the module is removed, the files on the disk is still
After clicking "OK", you can see the list still exists some files, which are files outside of the module, remove the module above the only project
step3.
Can right-click on the file select Show in Explorer to quickly open the location of the file on disk

After opening the disk directory, you can see the project files are, a lot of
IDEA's tombstone is deleted, the files on the disk need to manually delete
step4.
Prior to manually delete the file, select the IDEA's File menu, select Close Project Close Project
IDEA will then welcome home page, mouse over the item you want to delete, you can see the upper right corner there is a × Delete button, click the Delete

Finally, manually delete the project file on disk, this project file can be deleted completely clean!
