Spring Batch 4.0.4,4.1.3 with the 4.2.1 release, this version mainly includes several bug fixes and updated documentation and dependencies. Spring Batch is a framework for the preparation of off-line and batch applications using Spring and Java.
4.0.4 which is the latest in a series of version 4.0, 4.1.x next year will also release a bug fix version 4.1.4, which will be the last version of the series. Official recommends upgrading to version 4.2+ as soon as possible, the series is currently the main active branch, it will be supported by the end of 2020.
Meanwhile, the next feature release will be 4.3, scheduled for October 2020 GA, and Spring Framework 5.3 and Spring Boot 2.4 consistent. This version is expected to be a characteristic of the last Spring Batch 4 of the branch.
