systemd 244 of the first candidate version has been released. Meanwhile, Systemd 244-RC1 has also been uploaded to the Fedora Rawhide and the like, for further review. It is reported that, systemd 244 brings changes include the following:
- Support cpuset cgroups v2 controller, and by having AllowedCPUs = restricts services to the capabilities of the particular CPU, and the service provided by AllowedMemoryNodes = limited to a specific memory capacity of the node.
- Currently, Systemd can read the configuration options from "SystemdOptions" EFI variables. You can set this variable through "bootctl systemd-efi-options" command.
- Import facilities included in the White List of the Chromium project automatically suspended by the rules .
- Udev now in the query function to open the CD-ROM non-exclusive mode.
- Systemd-networkd now default DHCP configuration will be retained after the restart, and various other network changes. Systemd-networkd can also use the "networkctl renew" command-demand renew the DHCP lease.
- ProtectKernelLogs = new unit set up to limit / sandbox service can not directly access the kernel log buffer.
- systemctl clean "command to clean up the socket / installation / exchange unit.
