There are different brands of database schema concept, but different database schema definitions vary, the following make a few presentations on myslq, oracle, sqlserver three databases:
mysql:
equivalent database schema name
oracle:
schema-one correspondence with the user, and a corresponding schema name and username is the same
sqlserver:
schema related to the user, but not as strict as the oracle-one relationship (multiple users can share the same schema)
