Insert Table

Put records into MySQL tables, use the "INSERT INTO" statement.

Examples

Insert a record in the "customers" table:

import mysql.connector

mydb = mysql.connector.connect(
  host="localhost",
  user="你的用户名",
  passwd="你的密码",
  database="mydatabase"
)

mycursor = mydb.cursor()

sql = "INSERT INTO customers (name, address) VALUES (%s, %s)"
val = ("John", "Highway 21")
mycursor.execute(sql, val)

mydb.commit()

print(mycursor.rowcount, "条记录已插入")

Note : Calling mydb.commit()statement commit changes, otherwise the changes will not take effect.

Insert multiple rows

To multiple rows into a table using executemany()the method.

executemany()The second method is a parameter list of tuples, contains the data to be inserted:

Get ID into a row

You can query cursor object id get just inserted row.

Note : If you insert multiple rows, id last inserted row is returned.

Insert a row, and returns the ID:
