Samba 4.11 release, is disabled by default SMB1

Samba is a standard Windows Linux and Unix interoperability program suite. Samba 4.11 can provide a better Windows, Linux and other platforms interoperability. Samba 4.11 in change very much, which is a major bright spot has great scalability improvements.

Samba 4.11 Other significant changes include:

  • The default prefork process model change
  • Enhanced Samba-Tool
  • Re-indexing operation and performance of the connector Improvement
  • LDB better search performance and CephFS snapshot integration
  • It changed the way the AD database is stored on disk

Further, Samba 4.11 supporting Python 3 (instead of Python2), protocol support SMB1 disabled by default. Also, the client / server protocol version minimum has been set to SMB 2_02, which means that does not support or SMB3 SMB2 client can not connect to smbd, SMB1 future will also be deleted. Samba 4.11 is still compatible with older versions of Samba database.
