Neovim 0.4.0 was released. Neovim is focused on the scalability and availability of the new generation of Vim, its features include:
- Modern GUI
- API access to support multiple languages, including: C / C ++, C #, Clojure, D, Elixir, Go, Haskell, Java, JavaScript / Node.js, Julia, Lisp, Lua, Perl, Python, Racket, Ruby and Rust
- Embedded, scripting terminal emulator
- Asynchronous job control
- Shared data (Shada) between a plurality of instances editors
- XDG base directory support
- Vim is compatible with most plug-ins, including Ruby and Python plugins
