IntelliJ IDEA announcement 2019.3 Roadmap: improving the overall performance

IntelliJ IDEA second major release this year of update  2019.2  ago was released one month, this version adds a number of features, such as support for Java 13 preview, the introduction of performance analysis tools (Profiling Tools) and service tool window (Services Tool Window )Wait. Currently a small version of the iterative update to  2019.2.2 .

Recently, IntelliJ IDEA team announced the next major version  2019.3 of the development plan , they said this version and previous versions will be very different - the focus will be on improved performance and stability on, rather than just adding new Features. Of course, every major version update will fix many errors, as well as performance improvements and enhanced. But the team said they would to a whole new level of performance in the IntelliJ IDEA of 2019.3. They will hold a high-quality programming marathon, during which, as far as possible run to force the entire team to solve the biggest problem affecting users.

Finally, the summary of IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3 Roadmap follows:

  1. Improve the overall performance and responsiveness of IntelliJ IDEA
  2. Invest a lot of resources to solve problems that affect many users, and to eliminate pain points IntelliJ platform on different subsystems

In addition, changes in functions will include: expanded support for GitHub PR function, the introduction of several JVM support for micro-services framework, as well as improved support for Java 13's.
