Krita 4.2.4 and 4.2.5 Release Highlights:

For Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 19.04 and Linux Mint 19.x, perform the following steps from the Krita Lime PPA to install the latest version.

1. Open the terminal through the Ctrl + Alt + T keyboard shortcut or from the application menu search "terminal." When opened, the run command to add PPA:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kritalime/ppa

Type your user password (no asterisk feedback) at the prompt and press Enter.

2. Krita then upgrade or update software to install or upgrade software in the drawing by one operation command terminal:

sudo apt update

sudo apt install krita

To delete a PPA, please start the "software and updates" and then navigate to the "Other Software" tab.

To delete Krita, run the command:

sudo apt remove --autoremove covered krita- *

Download Appimage for Ubuntu 16.04

For 64-bit Ubuntu 16.04, Linux Mint 18.x, get appimage from the following link:

Download Krita (.appimage)

Then right-click and set as executable file from the "Properties" dialog box will appimage file. Finally, run the file to start Krita.
