docker understanding

 Container (Docker container), to create Docker engine on a host machine, the host machine operating system, on the basis of the engine to install the application.       

So the question is, no operating system, how to run the program?       

Docker can create an image file of ubuntu, ubuntu system so that we can integrate into the Docker, the application is running on the application of ubuntu.
