Since the current system login account name is really ugly (associated software has been installed), but to the [Computer Management] -> [Users and Groups] modified the name of the current account. Open VmWare workstation 6.5. Pop-up dialog box shown below:
Application failure. hr=0x80040101:Failed to initialize virtual machine.
solution:
1. re-register DLL like these three:
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmappsdk.dll"
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmdbCOM.dll"
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmnetBridge.dll"
C you changed the corresponding letter.
2. Then log out, you should be able to solve the problem. Good luck ~
