1. Hardware Requirements - 1 GB RAM minimum, 2 GB recommended RAM - 300 MB hard disk space of at least 1 GB of cache - a minimum screen resolution of 1024 × 768px
2. System Requirements
distributions for all platforms are bundled with JRE 1.8. You do not need to install any IntelliJ IDEA Java to run on your machine.
In IntelliJ IDEA development Web, PHP, Ruby or Python project does not need JDK. Independent JDK installation is required is for Java developers.
However, you can not use our bundled JRE for Java development.
Windows
3. The system requires the installation of

To use IntelliJ IDEA to develop Java applications that can be installed JDK version according to your project requirements.
Note that you can not use the bundled JRE development issue when IntelliJ IDEA, it is only used to run the IDE itself.
4. Download IntelliJ IDEA from the download page.
Run ideaIC or ideaIU -. * Exe file to start the installation wizard.

The system requires the installation of
OS X 10.5 or higher, including 10.10
supports only 64-bit OS X.

From the download page to download IDEA IntelliJ, ideaIC or ideaIU- .dmg the X-OS disk image file.
Double-click the downloaded or ideaIU- ideaIC .dmg disk image file to mount the X-OS.
IntelliJ IDEA copied to your Applications folder.
Note: Open JDK JetBrains team distributed 1.8 custom OS X bundles.
Linux

To use IntelliJ IDEA to develop Java applications that can be installed JDK version according to your project requirements.
Note that you can not use the bundled JRE development issue when IntelliJ IDEA, it is only used to run the IDE itself.
Download ideaIC or ideaIU- from the download page .tar.gz file.
IdeaIU- or decompression ideaIC .tar.gz file into an empty directory using the following command:
tar or ideaIU- xfz ideaIC .tar.gz
because it may be inconvenient location of the file you downloaded from running IntelliJ IDEA, we recommend that you use the mv command with the following moving one format to extract or unzip the archive folder to the desired location:
mv
For example:
Music Videos / Downloads / or ideaIU- ideaIC
Music Videos <path to ideaIC or ideaIU- .tar.gz>
example:
Music Videos / Downloads / or ideaIU- ideaIC .tar.gz My / Desired / LOCATION
switch to the new location of the bin directory:
CD / or ideaIC ideaIU- / bin
e.g.,
CD My / Desired / LOCATION / or ideaIC ideaIU- / bin
from the bin subdirectory or running ideaIC ideaIU.sh .
