WordPress Switching languages / Chinese Language Pack

The following steps will guide you to switch existing WordPress site English into Chinese.

1. Open and edit the site root directory through FTP, SSH, etc. wp-config.phpfiles.
2. Find define('WPLANG', '');a row in the second parameter of the fill zh_CNinto and save the file.define('WPLANG', 'zh_CN');
3. Enter site control panel (dashboard), see the upgrade to the update prompt. WordPress will automatically download Chinese language pack from the official website and install it.

If you are currently using unofficial Chinese language pack, please note: unofficial language packs are usually replaced by WordPress upgrade part of the program itself, the WordPress upgrade through third-party server, which may have some risks. If you do not want to use the official version of the language pack, be sure to select the language pack that you trust. As for what kind of support the use of Chinese, completely independent choice is yours. WordPress and will not prevent you from using unofficial language packs. The following are unofficial uninstall language packs, install the official Chinese version of the general procedure. Please note that if you do not use non-official version of the language pack, please do the following operations. Here we assume that you are using a non-official Chinese version does not change your database:

1. backup database.
2. Back up all files and delete the blog under the root directory in addition to wp-config.phpoutside all files. Please note that reservations wp-config.php.
3. Download the latest version from the official Chinese cn.wordpress.org . Unzip and upload it to the root directory of the site.
4. (OPTIONAL) than on wp-config-sample.phpand left wp-config.php: if wp-config-sample.phpthere is new content, copy and follow the instructions to fill out; if left wp-config.phpthan the wp-config-sample.phpsetting items even more, delete those unwanted items.
