In addition to creating .desktop files via Linux command outside, Arronax also provides a graphical interface for creating (and edit) the application executable file or desktop shortcut URL.

Arronax features:

  • Nautilus, Nemo and Caja integration. Right-click the file to create or edit a starter.
  • Drag and drop support to select icons, files and so on.
  • MIME type, keywords, and Quicklist support.

How to install Arronax in Ubuntu:

For Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04 and later, can be opened by the terminal Ctrl + Alt + T or application menu, and run one command.

When the user is prompted to type the password (no asterisk feedback), and then press Enter to continue.

2. Then the command to install the tool and File Manager integration:

You can use arronax-nautilus, arronax-nemo, arronax-caja replace arronax- *, depending on your system default file manager.

After installation, you can start Arronax applications through the system menu, you can right-click on the executable file browser.

Uninstall :

To remove the software, open a terminal and run the command:

And through software and updates -> Other Software tab delete PPA.
