The areas that can be modified in this game are mainly divided into two folders. One is the folder where the game itself is located. The main changes here are defense towers, hero damage, etc. Another folder is under the Windows user's folder. This is where the three archives in the game are located, so the hero levels corresponding to the archives and the achievements of the archives are placed.

The folder where the game itself is located:

This folder is where the game is installed. You can right-click the corresponding game preview local file in Steam to find it.

 The content that can be modified in the game folder is basically in the KR4 folder. Currently, what I know is the level folder and settings folder in the KR4 folder.

The Level folder records the occurrence of monsters in all levels, the walking route of each wave of monsters, etc. The Settings folder records the basic damage of the hero, the settings of the defense tower (such as modifying the damage of the defense tower, the number of stations on the defense tower, etc.) Who is the person, the number of soldiers sent to the barracks), and modify the occurrence of monsters in each level, etc.

 The game's defense tower configuration, hero configuration files, etc. are all in: Kingdom Rush Vengeance\KR4\Settings.

 

The plist file in the folder is the configuration file. The main places that can be modified are power_settings.plist, towers_settings.plist, and units_settings.plist. The specific modifications of these three files are introduced below.

power_settings.plist:

This file can modify the parameters of reinforcements and soul impact.

Reinforcements:

Search for keywords reinforcement_meleeand click cooldown below to modify the reinforcement cooldown.

 towers_settings.plist:

The main modifications under this folder are the specific parameters of tower damage.

In this configuration file, there are dozens of lines of code descriptions for each defense tower. When the game is loaded, these data will be imported into the memory. The modification idea is the same as before, which is to find the corresponding variable name that needs to be modified to understand the role of its corresponding parameters. You can modify it at will.

tips:

1. In this file: towers is the description of the defense tower, and units is the description of the corresponding unit of the defense tower.

2. The description of the defense tower in the file is hierarchical. For example, the description of the first-level tower of Boomerang is warmongers_archer_level1. Therefore, when modifying the defense tower, you need to modify other levels together. Of course, you can also directly modify the last level. It is level4 for modification.

Then there are skills:

This part of the code is relatively long and not truncated. The main thing that can be modified is rally. The Chinese translation means rally, so it is obvious that the dispatch range of the barracks unit can be modified in the range below, and then there are some specific The money spent to upgrade the skills of the barracks, but I personally think there is no need to change this.

Finally, the part about the barracks unit itself is not included in this document and units_settings.plistwill be analyzed later.

For Example2: (Try to modify the parameters of defense tower: Swamp Thing)

The first thing that can be modified is still the cost, the amount of the tower. Then there are the skills. The main thing I modified here is the range that the swamp monster can move in melee combat:
