08 Receiving area

The areas of interest of IEEE Sensors Magazine are the theory, design, fabrication, fabrication, and applications of devices for sensing and converting physical, chemical, and biological phenomena, with an emphasis on the electronic and physical aspects of sensors and integrated sensor actuators.

IEEE Sensors Magazine covers the following topics:

-Sensor phenomenology, modeling and evaluation

-Sensor materials, processing and manufacturing

-Chemical and gas sensors

-Microfluidics and biosensors

-Optical sensor

-Physical sensors: temperature, mechanical, magnetic and other

-Acoustic and ultrasonic sensors

-Sensor packaging

-Sensor Networks

-Sensor application

-Sensor systems: signals, processing and interfaces

-Actuator and sensor power supply system

- Sensor signal processing with high accuracy and stability (amplification, filtering, linearization, modulation/demodulation) and under harsh conditions (EMC, radiation, humidity, temperature); energy consumption/harvesting

-Sensor data processing (using sensor data for soft computing, such as pattern recognition, machine learning, evolutionary computing; sensor data fusion, processing waves, such as electromagnetics and acoustics; and non-waves, such as chemistry, gravity, particles, heat, radiation and non-waves Radiation sensor data, detection, estimation and classification based on sensor data)

-Sensors in industrial practice

09 Publish experience

According to the case published by the author: the review is slow, the review cycle is long, and the waiting time for revision decision is long

Submission experience:
After a year, the long wait has finally come to an end. The complete timeline is as follows:
2022.12.07 under review (initial submission)
2023.02.15 revise & resubmit (two reviewers, 1 rejected the manuscript (thinking it did not meet the scope of the journal), 1 overhauled, the editor gave the opportunity to resubmit)
2023.03. 06-2023.12.14 under review (revision submission) It
took nine and a half months for the second review. During the period, I contacted the ADM and the deputy editor in charge several times to no avail (it should be that one of the reviewers ran away). Yesterday I couldn't bear it anymore and contacted the theme editor directly. Within a day, I was accepted.
2023.12.15

I was very anxious during the acceptance for final submission and it was hard to wait, but the result is good. I wish you all the best!

Submission experience:
sharing of submissions in the direction of optical fiber sensing
2023.7.17-submit, under review;
2023.9.10-reject (revise and resubmit); (four reviewers, minor revisions, two major revisions, and one rejection, the editor gave the opportunity to reject the manuscript Resubmit, modification period is 2 months)
2023.11.2-resubmit, under review;
2023.11.25-accept (still under review on the 24th, directly accepted early on the 25th)
I hope everyone can be accepted as soon as possible! I also wish the journal can stay at the top of the second district and get better and better!

10 Summary

This is a good journal with high classification under IEEE. The quality of the journal is high and it is TOP. All indicators are good. However, judging from the recent submission cases, the review is slow. If you have plenty of time, you can still try to submit. Authors who are anxious to be accepted after graduation can take a look. Our office’s cooperation newsletter~
