  I. Introduction 

In order to ensure that teachers and students study and work in a safe environment, after receiving notification from superiors, our school actively organized an investigation of hidden dangers in school buildings to fully understand the safety status of the buildings, discover problems in a timely manner and take effective rectification measures. Through this inspection and rectification of hidden dangers in the house, a safer and more comfortable learning and working environment has been created for our school.

  2. Investigation objects and methods 

The main objects of this housing hazard investigation are all school buildings, including teaching buildings, dormitory buildings, canteens, office buildings, etc. The investigation methods mainly include on-site visits, technical testing and document review. Through these methods, our school strives to fully understand the use of the house and identify existing hidden dangers.

  3. Investigation results 

(1) Teaching building 

Stairs and passages:Some stair railings are loose, posing safety risks. The passage floor has loose tiles that need to be repaired.

Electrical facilities:Some classroom lighting bulbs have aged and need to be replaced. Some classroom sockets are severely worn and need to be repaired in time.

Firefighting facilities:Some fire extinguishers have expired and need to be replaced. Improper placement of items in emergency evacuation passages requires timely rectification.

(2) Dormitory building 

Wires and electrical appliances:In some dormitories, wires are connected indiscriminately, posing a fire hazard. A complete overhaul of electrical wiring is required.

Windows and Doors:Some dormitory windows are poorly sealed and need to be replaced. Some dormitory door locks are old and need to be repaired or replaced.

Bathroom:The faucets in the bathrooms of some dormitories are leaking and need to be repaired in time. The bathroom is poorly ventilated and needs to be improved.

(3) Dining room

Kitchen equipment:Some kitchen equipment is aging and poses safety risks. Requires regular maintenance and replacement.

Electricity safety:The electrical equipment in the canteen is aging, and inspections need to be strengthened to ensure the safety of electricity.

(4) Office building: 

Air conditioning and ventilation equipment:Some office air conditioning and ventilation equipment are faulty and require timely repair. Some offices have poor ventilation and need to strengthen the use of ventilation equipment.

File storage:Some office files are not stored in a standardized manner, posing fire hazards. Documents need to be organized and stored securely.

(1) Teaching building

Repair stair handrails and passageway tiles to ensure safe passage. Replace aging lighting bulbs and sockets, and repair electrical facilities. Replace expired fire extinguishers promptly and clear emergency evacuation routes.

(2) Dormitory building 

Conduct a comprehensive overhaul of electrical wires and appliances to prevent unauthorized connections. Replace dormitory doors and windows with poor window seals, repair or replace aging dormitory door locks. Repair leaky faucets and improve bathroom ventilation.

(3) Dining room

Perform regular maintenance on kitchen equipment to ensure normal operation. Check electrical equipment regularly to ensure safe use of electricity.

(4) Office building

Repair office air conditioning and ventilation equipment in a timely manner to ensure normal use. Organize documents to ensure orderly storage and eliminate fire hazards.

  5. Rectification plan 

1. The rectification work will be carried out in stages. Emergency rectification of parts with safety hazards has been completed to ensure the personal safety of teachers and students.

2. During the rectification process, attention should be paid to communication and coordination with relevant departments to ensure the orderly progress of the rectification work.
