Homemade data sets and label making tools - use of Make Sense

Make Sense online address: https://www.makesense.ai/

Used to create your own data set in yolov5 format: use the Make Sense tool to label image data and create a .txt type label.

(1) Go to the homepage of the website and click Get Started in the lower right corner to use it.

(2) Upload data set images (make image labels)

Click Drop Images or Click here to select them to upload the data set images. After the images are uploaded, you can choose to perform two operations: Object Detection and Image recognition.

The following uses the Object Detection method to produce label category information as an example for explanation:

3. After clicking the + sign, set the category information in the form of a category number, starting from 0 and incrementing (or setting it directly with the category name), for example:

Insert image description here

4. Click Start project to enter the operation interface and draw a detection frame for the target in the picture. After selecting the target in the frame, set the corresponding category settings.

5. After setting the detection frame and label, click Actions in the upper left corner ---- and then select Export Annotations to export the created image label file

Insert image description here

6. After clicking Export Annotations, you can select the type of exported label file, including .txt, .xml, and .csv formats.

(The tag file format suffix applicable to the yolov5 project is .txt)

7. Export the completed image label file. The label file exported here is in .txt format.
