FydeOS v17.1 is a collection of feature repairs and maintenance versions of FydeOS v17 Nostalgic Reflections. In this release, changes worth mentioning include:
- Fixed some problems in the Linux subsystem:
- Fixed an issue where some Linux programs could not display the GUI
- Fixed the issue of some Linux programs crashing after waking up from system hibernation
- Fixed the missing dependency of some commonly used Linux programs (such as WPS Linux) that cannot be installed by double-clicking the .deb package.
- Optimized the source address in the Linux image; by default it points to the Alibaba Cloud image deployed in mainland China
- Other localization optimization, including Chinese fonts and system languages, etc.
- If you upgrade from an earlier version of FydeOS to this v17.1 version via OTA, the above optimizations of the Linux subsystem will not take effect by upgrading the system; you need to delete the Linux environment and restart it to obtain it.
- Fixed an issue where the camera could not be turned on in some Android apps
- Fixed an issue where an error might be reported when adding a printer to the system
- Optimized the "Submit Feedback" function
- Added the function of " disabling automatic scanning of media files under multiple partitions to obtain longer battery life " for multi-boot installations of FydeOS
- Added entry for updated rEFInd binary and newly designed dark theme
hwtuner - Added support for common USB wifi adapter chips: MT7612U, RTL8192EU, RTL8188GU and RTL8188CUS
