vsphere sets the virtual machine to start following the host

Environment: vsphere 6.7 host
web management
. Log in to the web management page of the stand-alone machine. In the management options, select automatic startup, edit settings, and
check both. The start delay and stop delay can be selected as default. The stop operation refers to the stop of the virtual machine. The reason (as I understand it) is that shutting down refers to suddenly disconnecting the power of the virtual machine, such as unplugging the power cord of the physical machine.
