Click the "Smart Scan" item at the top of the left side of CleanMyMac, and then click the "Scan" button on the lower right side to automatically start scanning junk files on the Mac system. After the scan is completed, click the "Run" button to automatically run the cleanup scan. Disk garbage, as shown in Figure 1 below.

2. System disk junk cleaning

The above-mentioned quick cleanup is just the simplest shallow cleanup. CleanMyMac also provides users with a special system cleanup function: the "system garbage" cleanup function in the "second item" on the left side of the main interface, as shown in the red box in Figure 2 below.

The specific garbage scanned is as shown in Figure 4. You can see that there are a lot of garbage in various folders and application caches. The default state is all selected, that is, all will be cleaned. The user can uncheck the desired retained items. After completion, click "Return" above to return to the previous page, and then click Clean.

3. Space lens for disk cleaning

The above are all ways CleanMyMac helps users clean up their disks. Users can also clean up their disks manually. Then they need to use CleanMyMac’s space lens function. This function is very powerful and allows the Mac system to browse like a Windows system. Folders on each disk on the system, clean the files in specific folders.

Click "Space Lens" on the left menu bar, and then start scanning. After CleanMyMac completes building the system storage map, the result page will be as shown in Figure 5.
