vsphere6.5 vcenter failed to upload files to the data storage operation. Solution: the operation failed due to unknown reasons and the certificate was not trusted (practical operation)

When uploading a file to the data storage for the first time, an error is reported: The operation failed for an unknown reason. Usually, this problem is caused by the browser not trusting the certificate. If you are using a self-signed or custom certificate, please open the following URL in a new browser tab, accept the certificate, and then retry the operation.

 Don’t panic, follow these steps:

1. Log out and access the vcenter. url: http://172.16.30.2 The following interface appears

2. Select the lower right corner and click to download the CA certificate. If it does not download after clicking, a garbled page is displayed. Please go there, right-click again and select [Save link as], and a zip file will be downloaded. After opening it is the certificate.

 3. Open the browser settings (taking edge browser as an example), select [Privacy, Search and Services], and then select [Manage Certificates]

In the pop-up interface, select [Trusted Root Certification Authority] and click [Import]

Select the certificate under the win folder and complete the next step without thinking.

 4. Close the browser, reopen it, access the esxi host and vcenter, and find that files can be uploaded normally.
